Financial Friday: Corporate Bonds - Secure or Shaky?

The market for corporate bonds is opening up and could be a good way to diversify, but there are some points to consider.(Corporate Bonds, Nokia, Carlsberg, Brian Woodward, Morten Hansen )

The corporate bond market in Europe is coming into a second wave of activity for the year in which more high-yield bonds are now being issued. At the same time, default rates  indicate that confidence in these bonds is on the rise. There are several good opportunities when looking at corporate bonds, but there are no guarantees.  We discuss what is behind this development and how on can better understand the risk involved in purchasing corporate bonds.

Our Dynamic Duo, the recommended buys for the week, are Carlsberg and Nokia.  We discuss how a leading market position in Russia will help create further momentum for the brewery giant and we also look at what to expect from Nokia, a stock that is probably undervalued, at the Nokia World trade show in Stuttgart, which starts next week on September 2.
