The Senior Strategist: Market Overly Optimistic
Friday's important job report in the US hit a sweet spot for risk
seeking investors. The data was sufficiently good not to generate
fear of a solid real economic setback, and moreover sufficiently
bad so that the Fed is not expected to hike its rates at its interest
rate meeting on 21 September. Optimism in the financial markets
gained momentum, but Jyske Banks Senior Strategist, Ib Fredslund Madsen, still believes the optimism is based on a weak foundation.
