House with 1000 Stories: A Pearl in Provence

The best dreams are those for which you have to work.  Lars and Joan Svendsen know something about that. From a young age, Lars wanted nothing but to become a world-famous chef.  He ended as an IT nerd, starting his career carrying punch cards on the train between Aarhus and Copenhagen.

But, in a reprise of "Revenge of the Nerds", his journey into IT paid off big-time.  And today, Lars' dream of becoming a chef is alive and well. Le Haut des Espinets is the couple's guesthouse in the foothills of Provence near Nice, and is one of the area's best bed and breafast hotels.

In this episode of our series ”House with 1000 Stories", Jyske Bank visits Le Haut des Espinets, where Lars and Joan Svendsen are living their dream, and have been taking in guests and serving gourmet food for over 10 years.
