The Senior Strategist on China: Don't Overreact
It has been a tumultuous week of trading for global stock markets, Chinas stock markets rebounded in volatile trading Friday, after the authorities moved to stabilize the currency, bought shares and suspended a circuit-breaker system that had fueled this weeks world wide panic. But global investors are overreacting to bad news from China, says Jyske Banks Senior Strategist, Ib Fredslund Madsen:
"Global investors usually overreact to bad news from Chinas equity markets and the circuit-breaker mechanism is only accelerating and escalating the panic in the market. The bottom line is the market drop is not supported by fundamentals, so we're not changing our outlook for 2016."
